To test adding CSCGI capability to an existing GUI program, we created a native stand-alone MacGrep program using the GNU regex library:
Search parameters can be entered into various dialog fields:
Search results are returned in a text window:
To add CSCGI capability, we also built an HTML interface to the MacGrep program:
In CSCGI mode, search results are returned as an HTML page with links to each file:
The MacGrep program can be invoked as a GUI program, or via the CSCGI
link from an HTML page. The program automatically starts up in the
correct mode:
